Betty Fern Lippert, age 85, of Hoffman, Illinois, passed away at 10:40 A.M. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Fireside House in Centralia, Illinois.  She was born on November 9, 1930 in Hoyleton, Illinois, the daughter of David and Olga (Walker) Spenner. She married Vernon C. “V.C.” Lippert on August 14, 1949 in Hoyleton, Illinois and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2000.

Mrs. Lippert is survived by her three daughters, Marie Lippert of Hoffman, Illinois, Judy Johnson and Daniel of Hoffman, Illinois and Renee Ziegler of Centralia, Illinois, five grandchildren, Joseph Smith and wife Stacy of Hoffman, Illinois, Jennifer Johnson of Hoffman, Illinois, Alicia Ziegler of Centralia, Illinois, Dr. Andrea Ziegler of Chicago, Illinois, Brandon Johnson and wife Erin of Carlyle, Illinois and Bradley Johnson of Irvington, Illinois, great grandchildren, Alayna Smith, Colton Smith, Jackson Bradford, Sawyer Johnson and Quaid Johnson, special great grandson, Tom Peters of Belgium, two brothers, William Spenner and wife Donna of Nashville, Illinois and Charles Spenner and special friend Anita of Goreville, Illinois, three sisters, Barbara Lueking of Hoffman, Illinois, Peggy Reinkensmeier of Nashville, Illinois and Joyce Frieman and husband Dennis of Nasvhille, Illinois, sister-in-law, Nadine Spenner of Centralia and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

In addition to her husband of 50 Years, Mrs. Lippert was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Karen Bushinger, brother, David Spenner, son-in-law, Daniel Bushinger and brother-in-law, Fred Lueking.

Mrs. Lippert was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman, Illinois, where she was a Sunday School Teacher earlier in life. She loved reading her Bible. Mrs. Lippert enjoyed dancing the Polka and Waltz with her husband, V.C., on Saturday night. She took great pride in her home and cherished the time spent with her family, especially the Sunday family lunches and playing cards right after the meal.

Mrs. Lippert was a homemaker and worked at her husband's side on their family farm in Hoffman, Illinois. She lived her whole life in Hoffman, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 29, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman, Illinois with Pastor Stephen Krenz. Interment will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hoffman, Illinois. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman, Illinois and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Lippert's memory to the Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School or Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman, Illinois and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.
