Deborah Lynn “Debbie” Parrish, age 58, of Odin, Illinois, passed away at 5:15 A.M. on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at her home in Odin, Illinois with her family at her side. She was born on June 1, 1957 in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Vinnis Dean “Sam” and Dorothy Marie (Harmon) Belcher. She married William Albert Parrish, Jr. on October 31, 2003 in Salem, Illinois and he survives her in Odin, Illinois.
In addition to her husband of 12 years, Mrs. Parrish is survived by daughter, Diana Lynn Bivins of Centralia, Illinois, sons, Mark Brumfield and girlfriend Amanda Plummer of Patoka, Illinois and Matthew Brumfield, Sr. and fiancée Jennifer Yates of Centralia, Illinois, mother, Dorothy Marie Belcher of Centralia, Illinois, grandchildren, Jordan Mathis, Kiara Bivins, Marco Bivins II, Gesleigh Plummer, Brantley Brumfield, Matthew Brumfield, Jr. and Norah Brumfield, stepsons, Cecil Parrish and wife Cathy of Salem, Illinois, Bruce Parrish and wife Debra of Odin, Illinois, William Parrish and wife Debbie of Odin, Illinois, Robert Parrish and Debbie of Iuka, Illinois and Michael Parrish and wife Mindy of Ina, Illinois, stepdaughters, Brenda Hodge and husband Willis of Odin, Illinois, Vickie Parrish of Odin, Illinois and Tracie Albert and husband John of Orchardville, Illinois, 18 step-grandchildren, 23 step-great grandchildren, 5 uncles, 10 aunts and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her father, Vinnis Dean “Sam” Belcher, former husband, Kenneth Lenon, great grandson, Kalib Donald Paschal, paternal grandparents, Floyd “Buck” Belcher and Thelma Belcher and maternal grandparents, William Harmon and Berniece Harmon.
Mrs. Parrish was a member of the Odin Assembly of God in Odin, Illinois. She enjoyed playing cards. She loved listening to County & Western music. She cherished the time she spent with her family.
Mrs. Parrish retired in 2008 from the dietary department with Bryan Manor Nursing Home after 4 years of service. She previously worked on the assembly line at Hollywood Brand Candy Company in Centralia, Illinois. Mrs. Parrish graduated with Patoka High School’s Class of 1975. She has lived in Odin, Illinois since 2002.
A Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the Odin Assembly of God in Odin, Illinois with Pastor Carl Hester officiating. A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 10:30 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 30, 2015 at Odin Assembly of God in Odin, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.
