Deborah Patricia “Pat” Carter, age 61, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 2:20 A.M. on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at her home in Centralia, Illinois.  She was born on May 2, 1954 in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of William H. and Mildred L. (Williams) Myers.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her son; Kevin Mikel Myers of Anna, Illinois, daughter, Stephanie Joann Myers of Mount Vernon, Illinois, four grandchildren; James B. Wilson III, Catherine Coleman, Ty Coleman and Darius Brown, two brothers; Bill Myers and wife Darlene of Arizona and Tom Myers and wife Josephine of Wamac, Illinois; three sisters; Sally Atchison of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Jacqueline Bassen and husband Ray of Hoffman, Illinois and Anne “Sue” Myers of Centralia, Illinois; aunt; Vivian Vogel of Centralia, Illinois , uncle; Bud Vogel of Centralia, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Mack, Duane and Larry, one sister; Marilyn and many aunts and uncles.

Mrs. Carter was a member of the Centralia V.F.W. Auxiliary Post # 2055 and Centralia American Legion Auxiliary Post # 446.  She liked being outdoors and going fishing.  She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, working puzzles and crossword puzzles and listening to music especially Elvis Presley.  She was a collector of music boxes.  Mrs. Carter was an avid card player.  She cherished the time she spent with her family and her dogs; Missy Poo and the late Baby.

She was an assembler with North American Lighting in Salem, Illinois until her failing health.  She previously was employed as a press operator with Swan Corporation in Centralia, Illinois.  Earlier in life, she owned and cooked at the Royal Restaurant in Hoffman, Illinois.  She lived her whole life in Centralia, Illinois.                                                                                                

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Carter's memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Cancer Society or are suggested and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Mrs. Carter’s family at www.moranfuneralhome.net..
