Doris Kay Davis, age 68, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 3:15 A.M. on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Odin Healthcare Center in Odin, Illinois. She was born on June 6, 1947 in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Wilma (Puffer) Donahoo. She married Richard Curtis Davis on January 29, 1965 in Centralia, Illinois and he survives her in Centralia, Illinois.
In addition to her husband of 50 years, Mrs. Davis is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Kuder and special friend Steve Prather of Centralia, Illinois and Leigh Anne Campbell and husband Joseph of Rogersville, Missouri, eight grandchildren, Jordan Kuder and fiancee Krista Miller, Justin Kuder, Brandon Buchanan, Tanner Rust, Ashleigh Rust, Jacob Campbell, Maggie Campbell and Ethan Campbell, one great grandson, Kash Curtis Kuder, one brother, Raymond Donahoo and wife Doris of Centralia, Illinois, one sister, Karen Finney and husband Larry of Greenwood, South Carolina and many special nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jack Donahoo and sister, Marjorie Kirkland.
Mrs. Davis loved decorating her home for all the holidays. She enjoyed taking trips with her friends. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren,
Mrs. Davis was a real estate agent with Rod Snow Real Estate in Centralia, Illinois from 1997 to 2010, retiring after thirteen years of service. She was previously a long time associate of Centralia Stationery. Earlier in life, she was the owner of the Lollipop Shoppe in Centralia, Illinois and was a librarian at the Centralia Public Library. She has lived her whole life in Centralia, Illinois
A Celebration of Life Services will be held at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois with Pastor Seth Baltzell officiating. A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 4:30 P.M. until the time of services at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.
