Dorothy A. Huge Jones, age 94, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, formerly of Richview, Illinois, passed away at 10:18 A.M. on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Fireside House in Centralia, Illinois.  She was born on June 15, 1923 in Ferrin, Illinois, the daughter of the late Gustav and Regina (Klieboeker) Spenner.  She married Paul F. Huge on June 15, 1941 in Hoyleton, Illinois and he preceded her death on June 8, 1981.  She later married LeRoy Jones in Richview, Illinois and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Huge Jones is survived by her children, Paulette Wolff and husband Gary of Daytona Beach, Florida, Gary Huge and wife Deborah of Centralia, Illinois and Douglas Huge and wife Renee of Richview, Illinois; grandchildren, Sherry Koch and husband Rick, Kevin Huge and wife Kerry, Nicholas Huge, Randy Bassen and wife Sherri, DeWayne Bassen and wife Jane, Roger Wolff and wife Lou Ann, Randall Wolff and wife Jodi, Brent Wolff and wife Deb, Gary Lee Wolff and wife Karri, Misty Hack and husband Ron, Justina Wilbur and husband David, Traci Vance and husband Jeff, Monica Huge, Curtis Huge and wife Brittani, Amanda Huge, Christopher Huge and Ian Huge and wife Brittany; 22 great-grandchildren; 21 great great-grandchildren; sisters, Janet Klie and husband Eugene of Hoyleton, Illinois, Judy Lawson and husband John of Georgia, Beulah Holle of Hoyleton, Illinois, Gertie Holle of Hoyleton, Illinois and Loretta Eickmeyer of Michgan and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands, Mrs. Huge Jones was preceded in death by her parents; son, Everett Huge; daughter-in-law, Sandra Kay Huge Shelton; brothers, Vernon Spenner, Roy Spenner, Ralph Spenner and Robert Spenner and sisters, Irene Fussellman and Maxine Spenner.

Mrs. Huge Jones was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton, Illinois, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid.  She loved her flowers and had a great passion and a green thumb when it came to her garden.  Mrs. Huge Jones enjoyed quilting and worked on a quilt that won many Blue Ribbons.   Mrs. Huge Jones cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She always looked forward to receiving coloring pages from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She traveled with her sisters, Irene and Gertie, around the world to places, such as China and Russia.

Mrs. Huge Jones was a housewife and homemaker, who worked along side her husband on the family farm.  Earlier in life, she was a technician who took care of the residents in the Grape Cottage at the Warren G. Murray Developmental Center in Centralia, Illinois from 1965 until 1970.  She has lived most of her life in Richview, Illinois.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Dorothy A. Huge Jones will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 15, 2018, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton, Illinois with Pastor Nathan Wollenberg officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoyleton, Illinois.  Friends are invited to meet with Mrs. Huge Jones' family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton, Illinois.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Huge Jones' memory to the Irvington Food Pantry in Irvington, Illinois and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Mrs. Huge Jones’ family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
