Floyd Willard Patten, age 78, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 10:25 P.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Odin HealthCare Center in Odin, Illinois. He was born on April 4, 1938 in Crawford County, Indiana, the son of John Perry and Flossie B. (Bonham) Patten. He married Ginger Kay Lippert on September 13, 1982 at the 15th Street Church of God in Centralia, Illinois and she survives him in Centralia, Illinois.

In addition to his wife of 34 years, Mr. Patten is survived by his three sons, John Patten and wife Mary of California, Mike Patten of Arkansas and Perry Patten of Illinois, one daughter, Marie Mullins and husband Bob of Illinois, twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, two brothers, Walter Patten and wife Margaret of Centralia, Illinois and Bob Patten and wife Jean of Indiana, one sister Mary Hyre and husband husband Charles of Illinois, two daughters-in-law, Jennifer Patten of Illinois and Montana Patten of Indiana, one sister-in-law, Mabel Patten of Centralia, Illinois, many nieces and nephews, two former wives and their families, and furry friend, Sheba.

Mr. Patten was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Shannon Patten and Leroy Patten, three brothers, Elmer Patten, Doyle Patten and Ernie Patten, one sister, Betty Wastlick and one sister-in-law, Anna Bell Patten.

Mr. Patten was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Centralia, Illinois for the last 5 years. He enjoyed rock hunting and he loved to go with his wife to rock, gem and mineral shows. He also enjoyed antiquing and venturing out to flea markets. Mr. Patten liked tending to his yard and woodworking, as he was one to keep busy with his hands. He cherished the time he spent with his family.

Mr. Patten retired in 2001 as a driver for the parts department of Lincoln Auto in Centralia, Illinois after 5 years of service. He previously was a truck driver for Allied Trucking Company for 10 years. He lived in Centralia, Illinois for 7 years and previously lived in Shattuc, Illinois.

Services will be Dedicated in the Memory of Mr. Floyd Patten at 10:00 A.M. on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Centralia, Illinois with Pastor Rodger Randolph officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Patten's memory to the First Baptist Church in Centralia, Illinois and will be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.
