Lela Mae, Nyla sends her condolences for your loss. Since moving to St. Louis, we get the Mt. Vernon paper through the mail, which often makes us late with learning about what is happening with family and friends. John had a good life, well lived and we know his memory will support a fine family for a long time. I would have to admit that 86 doesn't seem as old as it once did.

Rhonda and family, we are so sorry that you will not have this great, warm man to laugh and talk with, but we know that being in God's arms is the ultimate. Dean and I will be unable to attend his memorial service because we will be out of town all day. I send you my hugs. I still miss my parents so much. I think of them every day--
