Mary Jo Alcorn McCormick, age 52, of Central City, Illinois, passed away at 6:07 P.M. on Friday, May 20, 2016, at her home with her family by her side.  She was born on September 5, 1963 in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Albert Eugene and Viola Mae (Powell) Alcorn.

Mrs. McCormick is survived by her three sons; Brett Alcorn and wife Tiffany of Central City, Illinois, Tyler McCormick of Wichita, Kansas and Nathan McCormick of Wichita, Kansas, 4 grandchildren; brother; Mike Sessions and wife Barbara of Omaha, Nebraska, sister; Patty Hardesty and husband Terry of Richview, Illinois and special friend; Bob Hossler of Central City, Illinois.

Mrs. McCormick was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. McCormick enjoyed fishing and being in the outdoors.  She liked listening to classic rock music.  She loved the company of her dog, Pink.  She cherished the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren.  Mrs. McCormick was a homemaker.  She lived all of her life in Centralia, Illinois.

A private family inurnment will be held in Richview Cemetery in Richview, Illinois at a later date.  There will be no visitation or services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be in Mrs. McCormick’s honor to Celtic Hospice and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Cremation rites by Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Mrs. McCormick’s family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on Facebook.
