Mary Margaret Wagner, age 90, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 6:11 P.M. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Odin Healthcare Center in Odin, Illinois.  She was born on July 13, 1927 in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of the late Floyd and Grace (Ainscough) Branch.  She married Harry S. Wagner on March 13, 1954 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and he preceded her in death on September 3, 1972. 

Mr. Wagner is survived by her cousin, Vaden Ainscough and wife Brenda of Centralia, Illinois and numerous cousins.

In addition to her husband of 18 years, Mrs. Wagner was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Wagner was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Centralia, Illinois, where she enjoyed the fellowship of her church family.  She was very knowledgeable of the Bible, of which she loved to read.  She took great pride in quoting scripture out of her Bible. Mrs. Wagner was an easy going, happy person and she wanted to make other people happy.  She was known to be a very giving person.  She liked to have spirited conversations with those around her.

Mrs. Wagner’s life work was mostly in public service as she was a housekeeper for various homes in the Centralia Community.  She was previously employed making bread at a bakery in Oakland, California until her husband’s passing in 1972 and as a production worker at Kellogg’s Company in Oakland California. She lived most of her life in Centralia, Illinois, except for living in Oakland, California from 1955 until 1976.

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Mary Margaret Wagner will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois with Brother Aaron Lucking officiating.  Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia, Illinois.  Friends may visit with Mrs. Wagner’s family from 10:00 A.M until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Wagner’s memory to Breast Cancer Research Foundation and will be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.
