Peggy Sue Davidson, age 62, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 11:20 A.M. on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at White Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.  She was born on December 8, 1952 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the daughter of Eugene “Pop” and Anna Ray (Bennett) Davidson.

Ms. Davidson is survived by her sister, Glenda Huge and husband Charles of Carlyle, Illinois, two brothers, Richard Davidson of Virginia and Roger Davidson and wife Allison of Junction City, Illinois and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Ms. Davidson was preceded in death by her parents, an aunt who raised her, Margaret Cox, brothers, Wallace Ramsey, James Grubbs and Joe Davidson and sister-in-law, Theresa Grubbs.                                                                       

Ms. Davidson attended The Rock Church in Centralia, Illinois.  She volunteered for many years at the BCMW clothing pantry.  She enjoyed crocheting and working her puzzles.  After graduating from high school, she earned her cosmetology license and taught at the Centralia School of Cosmetology for many years.  Later in life, she worked part-time out of her house cutting hair for her family and friends.  She has lived most of her life in Centralia, Illinois.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating.  Inurment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia, Illinois at a later date.  Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at 12:00 noon on Friday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to BCMW or Salvation Army and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Ms. Davidson’s family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on Facebook.
