Sandra Marie “Sandy” Goral, age 71, of Centralia, Illinois, entered into rest at 3:45 A.M. on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at her home with her family by her side.  She was born on April 29, 1945 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harold S. and Geraldine (Stein) Holy. 

Sandy is survived by her nephew and special caregiver, Kip Kimball of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and very special friend, Luke Wallis of Centralia, Illinois.\

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Holy.

Sandy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Centralia, Illinois, where she was an Eucharistic Minister.  She was a former member of the Central City Lioness Club.  She volunteered as a Pink Lady at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, Illinois for many years. Sandy enjoyed life to its fullest, especially in her younger years when she loved to dance, shoot pool and play Poker and Canasta.  She liked to eat out with friends at the local Chinese restaurants.  She cherished the time she spent with her family, friends and furry friends, Ringer and Pumpkin.

Sandy retired as a drug and alcohol testing sample collector for Midwest Truckers Association in Springfield, Illinois after 10 years of service.  She has lived in Central City, Illinois since 2001 and formerly lived in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

As per Sandy’s long-standing wishes, she will be anatomically donated to a school of medicine.  There will be no public visitation or services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sandy’s memory to purchase a blanket warmer for the Cancer Care Specialists in Centralia, Illinois and may be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Sandy’s family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
