Sandra Kay Huge Shelton, age 73, of Port Isabel, Texas, formerly of Richview, Illinois, passed away at 11:40 P.M. on Monday, July 31, 2017, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on March 29, 1944 in Woodstock, Illinois, the daughter of the late Ray Lawrence and Doris Maxine (Redman) Sturgeon.  She married Everett Huge on February 27, 1960 in Morganfield, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on February 2, 1991. She married Jack Shelton on December 8, 2001 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton, Illinois and he survives her in Port Isabel, Texas.

In addition to her husband of 15 years, Mrs. Shelton is survived by her children, Sherry Koch and husband Rick of Darmstadt, Illinois, Kevin Huge and wife Kerry of Centralia, Illinois and Nick Huge of Richview, Illinois; four grandchildren, Jeremy Huge and wife Sarah, Elisha Fisher and husband William, Lindsey Huge and Breanne Koch; three great-grandchildren; Callie Delawson, Everett Jett Huge and Dylan Huge; two sisters, Carolyn Skibinski of Centralia, Illinois and Barb Vannetta and husband Rodney of Sandoval, Illinois; step-children; Kathy Schrock and husband Jeff of Michigan, Kim Greer and husband Sherman of Centralia, Illinois, Terri Sanders and husband Terry of Centralia, Illinois and Jack Shelton, Jr and wife Marsha of Arizona, twelve step-grandchildren, 15 step-great-grandchildren; mother-in-law; Dorothy Jones of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; sister-in-law, Paulette Wolff and husband Gary of Florida; brothers-in-law, Gary Huge and wife Debbie of Centralia, Illinois and Doug Huge and wife Renee of Richview, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett Huge; brother, Gary Sturgeon; sister-in-law, Patti Sturgeon; father-in-law, Paul Huge; nephew, Gary Vannetta and a step-grandson.

Mrs. Shelton was a member of St. Andrews by the Sea Church in Port Isabel, Texas and former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton, Illinois.  She previously was a member of the Hoyleton Rural Water Board and Irvington Township Board. Mrs. Shelton enjoyed shopping, crafting and antiquing. She was a Corvette enthusiast and belonged to the Little Egypt Corvette Club. She cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Shelton farmed with her husband, Everett and then her son, Kevin, until her retirement in 2002. She graduated with Centralia Township High School's Class of 1957. She lived in Port Isabel, Texas since 2005 and formerly lived in Richview, Illinois.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 7, 2017, at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois with Pastor Nathan Wollenberg and Pastor Mark A. Nebel officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoyleton, Illinois. There will be no visitation.
