Virginia Lee Wadley, age 75, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 5:22 P.M. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, Illinois.  She was born on November 18, 1940 in Doniphan, Missouri, the daughter of Albert and Mary Ethel (Sumner) Kniker.

Mrs. Wadley is survived by her four sons, Raymond Kniker and wife Kelly of Odin, Illinois, Ron Kniker of Centralia, Illinois, James Wadley of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Harry Wadley and wife Carolyn of Centralia, Illinois, two daughters, Carmen McClaren of Centralia, Illinois and Mary Kniker of Centralia, Illinois, 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Ronald Nogle and wife Jackie of Winter Springs, Florida and Edward Kniker of Paris, Tennessee, two sisters, Martha Benson and husband Pete of South Haven, Mississippi and Jeanette Bugg of Portageville, Missouri, special friends, Carol Jauday of Centralia, Illinois and Janet Hammond of Richview, Illinois, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mrs. Wadley was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers, Edward Gordon, Chris Kniker, John Kniker, William Kniker, Albert Kniker, Herbert Nogle, Raymond Nogle and Gene Nogle and 2 sisters, Betty Jane Funke and Mary Kniker.

Mrs. Wadley was of the Baptist faith.  She volunteered many years at the Dry Dock Club in Centralia, Illinois, where she greeted people at the front door, served refreshments and sponsored people with addictions.  She was an avid bingo player and St. Louis Cardinals fan.  She loved to crochet and quilt.  Mrs. Wadley enjoyed playing Skip Bo and Hand and Foot card games.  She cherished the time she spent with family especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Wadley was a floral arranger for 8 years at the Hutchison Florist in Centralia, Illinois, where she received her arranger certificate while being employed with the florist.  Earlier in life, she worked on the line at the Sweet Tart Factory in Herrin, Illinois.  She has lived in Centralia, Illinois for 43 years and previously lived in Herrin, Illinois.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, August 22, 2016, at Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois with Pastor Rodger Randolph officiating.  A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5:30 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016, at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made in Mrs. Wadley's memory are appreciated and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Mrs. Wadley’s family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on Facebook.
