Betty Boatright Obituary

Betty Boatright, age 87, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 8:45 A.M. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, in Salem, Illinois.  She was born on January 7, 1931 in Sandoval, Illinois, the daughter of the late Orville and Edna Mae (McConnell) Boatright.

Ms. Boatright is survived by her son, David Boatright and wife Darlene of Sandoval, Illinois; brother, Bill Boatright and wife Mary of Chicago, Illinois and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Boatright was preceded in death by her brothers, James Boatright and Richard Boatright; sister, Ruby Hilton, uncle, William “Bill” McConnell and aunt, Hattie McConnell.

Ms. Boatright was of the Christian faith.  She loved to read books.  She enjoyed visiting with her friends.

Ms. Boatright was a homemaker.  Earlier in life, she was a housekeeper.  She lived most of her life in Centralia, Illinois.

A Graveside Memorial Service for Ms. Betty Boatright will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Sandoval Cemetery in Sandoval, Illinois with Mr. Glen Hulvey officiating.  Family and Friends are asked to go directly to the Sandoval Cemetery on Friday.  Inurnment will follow in Sandoval Cemetery in Sandoval, Illinois.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Ms. Boatright’s family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
