Ellen Ferrari Obituary

Ellen Emma Ferrari, age 99, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 11:10 P.M. on Friday, August 24, 2018, at her home in Centralia, Illinois with her loving family by her side.  She was born on December 29, 1918, in Tamaroa, Illinois, the daughter of the late Jule and Finnie (Nehring) Cizick.  She married Danillo Ferrari on September 21, 1946 in Tamaroa, Illinois and he preceded her in death on August 22, 1986.

Mrs. Ferrari is survived by her children; Michael Ferrari and wife Vicki of St. Charles, Missouri, Dennis Ferrari and wife Brenda of Centralia, Illinois, Margaret Spears and husband Allen of Centralia, Illinois and Carl Ferrari and wife Janis of Centralia, Illinois; son-in-law, Rick Anglen of Newburg, Indiana; grandchildren, Lori Ferrari, Beth Pantak and husband Steve, Amanda Biagi and husband Matt, Michelle Turan and husband Selcuk, Ken Ferrari, Dan Ferrari and wife Tia, Brian Ferrari, Tracie Foster and husband Derek, Andy Spears, Renee McDonald and husband Brandon and Ricky Anglen; great-grandchildren, Miah Pantak, Adyson Pantak, Phoenix Pantak, Raven Pantak, Hayden Biagi, Jacob Ferrari, Grace Ferrari, Katelyn Ferrari, Gia Foster, Jackson Spears and Xavier McDonald and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband of 39 years, Mrs. Ferrari was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Josephine Anglen; brother, Alex Cizick and sister, Irene Cizick. 

Mrs. Ferrari was of the Christian faith.  She loved tending to her truck patch garden with her husband.  She liked to play Bunco, watch car racing, go fishing and listen to polka music.  In her younger years, Mrs. Ferrari enjoyed quilting.  She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends and loved cooking for them.

Mrs. Ferrari retired as an inspector from Wheaton Plastics in Centralia, Illinois after many years of service.  She previously was an assistant cook in the Centralia City Schools.  Earlier in life,  she worked at Hollywood Brand Candy Company in Centralia, Illinois, where she met her husband to be.   She has lived most of her life in Centralia, Illinois.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Ellen Emma Ferrari will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday,  August 31, 2018 at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois with Reverend Rodger Randolph officiating.  Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park near Centralia, Illinois.  Friends are invited to visit with Mrs. Ferrari’s family from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Ferrari’s memory to the American Cancer Society and will be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Mrs. Ferrari's family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
