Vicki Sue (Levart) Brckovich

Vicki Sue Brckovich, age 71, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 2:57 P.M. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, Illinois.  She was born on December 24, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Melvin L. and Darlene (Hodge) Levart. 

Ms. Brckovich is survived by her son, Steven Fiscus of Webster Groves; Missouri; fiancé, Darin Rock of Centralia; Illinois; special friend, Asher Hall of Webster Groves, Missouri and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ms. Brckovich was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Cecile Hodge; grandfather, Harry Hodge and great-grandfather, Bob Dial.

Ms. Brckovich was of the Catholic faith.  She was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Centralia, Illinois.  She graduated with Odin High School’s “Class of 1964” in Odin, Illinois.  She graduated from Kaskaskia College’s School of Cosmetology in the early 1970’s.  Ms. Brckovich was a former member of the Centralia Business and Professional Women, Centralia Moose Lodge 1219 and Centralia V.F.W 2055 Auxiliary. She enjoyed being in the outdoors with her fiancé of 24 and half years as they would go camper camping, boating and fishing.  She loved her pets, especially her dogs, cats and birds.  She cherished the time she spent with her family.  As it was said by her son and special friend, “she loved everyone she met and was very warm-hearted.”  

Ms. Brckovich was an admitting clerk at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, Illinois for 15 years.  She was a customer service manager in the jewelry department at Walmart in Centralia, Illinois from 1990 until 1993.  She was an owner and hairstylist at Vicki’s Salon in Centralia, Illinois from 1973 until 1993.  She has lived most of her life in Centralia, Illinois.

A Catholic Service for Ms. Vicki Sue Brckovich will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois with Fr. Dale Maxfield officiating.  Interment will follow in Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin, Illinois.  Family and friends are asked to meet with Ms. Brckovich’s family from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the funeral home and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Ms. Brckovich’s honor to the Wire Fox Terrier Rescue Midwest and will be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Ms. Brckovich’s family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
