Billie Williamson Obituary

Billie Jean Williamson, age 55, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 8:41 P.M. on Friday, May 21, 2021, at her home in Centralia, Illinois, with her loving family by her side.  She was born on September 30, 1965, in East Saint Louis, Illinois, the daughter of the Imogene Hickerson.

Billie is survived by her loving daughter, DaleKrista Colliver and fiancé, Jeff Hamburg of Centralia, Illinois; son, Jonathan Mankle of Benton, Kentucky; grandchildren, Mariska Mankle, McKenzie Colliver, Kyle Mankle, Hunter Hamburg, Lexi Mankle, and Korie Mankle; brothers, Ron Washburn of Saint Louis, Missouri and Earl Smith of Saint Louis, Missouri; and sisters, Shirley Smith of Centralia, Illinois, Bonnie Edwards of O’Fallon, Illinois, Christian Stogsdill of Indiana, and Valerie Jarrett of Tennessee.

Billie was preceded in death by her mother, Imogene Hickerson, and feather friend, Cleo.

Billie loved doing everything associated with the outside, especially fishing and hunting.  If she could do it outside, she did it.  She was big on Wonder Woman and Coca-Cola.  She was a big animal rescuer and enjoyed the companionship of her service dogs, DJ, Cujo, and Sasha, and cat, Mario.  She loved to watch shows on Dolly Parton and Wonder Woman on Netflix.  Billie was always on the go and was not one to be found sitting around.  She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially working on vehicles with her grandson Kyle.  She was known by her family as being a simple woman.

As a result of ill health, Billie ended her service in 2013 as an U.S. Marshal transporting inmates in Clarksville, Tennessee.  She was previously employed as a correctional officer in Eddyville, Kentucky, and police officer in Paducah, Kentucky.  She lived in Centralia, Illinois, since 2019, and formerly lived in Princeton, Kentucky.

It was the wishes of Ms. Billie Jean Williamson’s family to have cremation rites for her.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
