Charles Sanders Obituary

Charles Albert Sanders, 86 of Centralia, passed away at 9:58 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Centralia Manor.  He was born on July 31, 1937 in Centralia, the son of Dwight and Lona Scheriger Sanders.  He married Eileen Schierbecker on May 21, 1977 in Hoyleton and she survives in Centralia.  Besides his wife of 46 years, left to mourn his passing is a son C. Jeff Sanders of Arlington, TX, a daughter  Robin Coulbourne of Baltimore, MD and a granddaughter Ashley Coulbourne.  A brother Tom (Barb) Sanders of Odin.  2 sisters; Corky Rodriguez of Morton and Jean (Rick) Deadmond of Kinmundy.  A brother in law Howard Schierbecker of Hoyleton.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; Dwight and Vernos Sanders.

Charles was a veteran of the United States Army and retired in 2000 from the Schwan Corporation in Wamac. He was a longtime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton and the Centralia Moose Lodge.  He enjoyed fishing, wood working and exercising at the Centralia Rec Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Nathan Wollenberg officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Hoyleton.  Moran Queen Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia is in charge of arrangements
