Donald Bulock Obituary

Donald LeRoy Bulock, age 78, of Radom, Illinois, passed away at 5:08 P.M. on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at his home in Radom, Illinois.  He was born on April 4, 1940 in the small rural community of Glentana, Montana, the son of the late Otto Clyde and Leona Pearl (Reed) Bulock.  He lived most of his life in Montana, later moving to Illinois where he spent the remainder of his life.  He married Margaret Pauline (Wright)Huffstutler on April 7, 2017 in Salem, Illinois and the last two years were spent with his beloved wife.

Mr. Bulock served in the military as an active Army Reservist from 1955 until 1957.  He continued to serve his country working in the public sector of the government, beginning with his years as a Civil Services Agent and ending his career with the United States Army Corps of Engineers.In addition to the love Mr. Bulock had for his country and God, was the love he had for family and friends.  His love for family stemmed from growing up with loving parents, grandparents and his many siblings under the big blue sky of Montana.  In his younger years, he loved to hunt, fish and go camping.  He loved the holidays and country music!  He was loved by many and loved many in return.

Mr. Bulock is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Pauline Huffstutler Bulock; his four children, Debbie Bulock Johnson and husband Ken, Terry Bulock and wife Laurey, Linda Bulock Ashlock and Barbara Browning, and Donnel Bulock Standiford; step-children, Thomas Hanzlik, Steve Hanzlik, Dennis Hanzlik and wife Suzy, David Bulock and wife Lori, Michelle Hanzlik Thomas and husband Todd, Roxanne Hanzlik Ross, Charlotte Jordan and husband Larry, Lyle Huffstutler and wife Shirlene, Charles Pickles and Shane Wright and wife Elisabeth; brothers-in-law, Howard Powell and Benny Hallock and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bulock was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Leona (Reed) Bulock; his brothers, Eddie Bulock, Cecil Bulock and Richard Bulock; his sisters, Jean Bulock Kallem, Audrey Bulock Marquart Hallock, Shirley Bulock Anderson and Sharon Bulock Powell; his sister-in-law, Lena Maurer Bulock; his brother-in-law, Clifford Kallem and his nephews, Calvin Kallem and Patrick Marquart.

A Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Bulock will be held next summer in Glasgow, Montana.  In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans and will be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.
