Duane Allen Mann, age 50, of Walsh, Colorado, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at UCHealth Burn and Frostbite Center in Denver, Colorado. He was born on March 4, 1970, in Centralia, Illinois, the son of Gene and Barbara Jean (Beckmeyer) Mann. He married Margaret McMillan on March 8, 1994, in Salem, Illinois and they later divorced.
Duane is survived by his loving daughters, Alexis Purdom and husband Logan of Nashville, Tennessee, McKinsy Lietz and husband Kody of Hillsboro, Illinois and Sierra Mann and fiancé Brett Kalaher of Hillsboro, Illinois; grandchildren, Emery Rose Lietz, Aven Mitchell Lietz and Evelyn James Purdom; parents, Gene Mann and Barbara Jean Mann of Richview, Illinois; brothers, Brent Mann of Salem, Illinois, Larry Mann and wife Dora of Greenville, Illinois and Brad Mann of Richview, Illinois; sisters, Debbie Rankin and husband Chuck of Trenton, Georgia, Donna McWhorter and husband Doug of Pegram, Tennessee, Cindy Bigham and special friend Mickey Rooneo of Nashville, Illinois and Kristi Smith and husband Robert of Richview, Illinois and many nieces and nephews.
Duane is preceded in death by his son, Mitchell Jourdan and paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.
Duane loved to travel, as he lived and traveled to many different states. He really enjoyed listening to music. He had a very adventurous spirit and liked being in the outdoors, hiking and finding arrowheads. He was a very humble person, who was loved by everyone and never knew a stranger. Duane had the best and most beautiful smile that lit up a room when he entered it. He had the greatest sense of humor, as he was always laughing and making people laugh. He was a very charming person, who could just about sell you anything. Duane was one of the kindest people that you could meet and he never said anything mean about anyone. He was a very giving and generous person, who would give you the shirt off his back. He had a strong soul and he was a strong person up until the end. Duane very much loved his daughters and cherished the time he spent with his family.
Duane did mechanical work throughout his life working on cars. In his years of auto service, he had Mann’s Service and Mann’s Auto Sales. He loved restoring, working on, selling, racing and wrecking cars. Duane was a super worker and never had an idle moment on his hands. He lived in Walsh, Colorado for three years and formerly lived in Richview, Illinois.
Private Family Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Duane Allen Mann will be held at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois with Pastor Derrick Taylor officiating.
