Judith Ann Donoho, age 72, of Central City, Illinois, passed away at 2:05 P.M. on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born on February 18, 1948 in Taylorville, Illinois, the daughter of Bert Gene and Olive (Smith) Tonks. She married Jasper Ray Donoho on April 28, 2000, in Farina, Illinois and he preceded her in death on June 20, 2002.
Mrs. Donoho is survived by her sons, Michael Jordan and wife Rhonda of Centralia, Illinois, Carl Jordan and wife Lynn of St. Charles, Missouri and Scott Jordan of Salem, Illinois; daughter, Barbara Hamilton of Odin, Illinois; grandchildren, Amber Furlong, Crystal Hamilton, Jade Hamilton, Brandi gore and husband Adam, Tristan Jordan, Kaitlyn Jordan, Ava Jordan and John Jordan and great-grandchildren, Landon Furlong, Mercedez Furlong, Myra Hamilton, Brylon Jordan, Baili Gore, Abi Gore and Will Gore.
In addition to her husband of 2 years, Mrs. Donoho was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Bradley Jordan and Bridgette Jordan and brother, Gene Tonks.
Mrs. Donoho was of the Catholic Faith. She liked coloring and talking with people. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and going shopping together. She could be found watching an old tv show. Mrs. Donoho was an animal lover and cherished the companionship of her furry friends, especially her late dog, Maggie, who was at her side for 20 years, late cat, Miss Kitty, and her most recent feline companion and partner in crime, Kiki.
Mrs. Donoho retired in 2012 as a caseworker for the Department of Human Services in Mount Vernon, Illinois, after 10 years of service. She formerly was employed as a health care worker and personal assistant for 5 years. Earlier in life, she was employed as a nurses aide at the V.A. Medical Center in Marion, Illinois and was in nurses training at the Elgin State Hospital in Elgin, Illinois for 3 years. She has lived in Central City, Illinois for 20 years.
It was Mrs. Donoho’s wishes to be cremated. There will be no visitation nor services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Donoho’s honor to the Centralia Humane Society and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois.
