Kameron Joseph Mayoral, age 24, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 5:54 A.M. on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at his home in Centralia, Illinois. He was born on August 3, 1996, in Saint Louis, Missouri, the son of Robert Glen Murray and Karen Mayoral.
Kameron is survived by his father, Robert Murray and wife Christina of St. Marie, Illinois; mother, Karen Mayoral of Columbia, Missouri; brothers, Garrison Driskell of Centralia, Illinois, Kaleb Mayoral and wife Whitney of Irvington, Illinois; sister Kacie Downs of Centralia, Illinois; stepbrothers, Ryan McCarty and wife Taylor of Maryville, Illinois and Dylan McCarty and girlfriend Ariel Warren of Tuscola, Illinois; grandmothers, Lynette Murray of Centralia, Illinois and Betty Mayoral of Centralia, Illinois; aunts, Tracy Shaw and husband Mark of Centralia, Illinois, Lisa Hill and husband Jason of Centralia, Illinois, Melanie Wathan and husband Jack of Centralia, Illinois and Denise Meyer and Jeff Diss of Centralia, Illinois; uncle, Joey Mayoral III of Centralia, Illinois; cousins, Zach Meyer and wife Angie of Collinsville, Illinois, Bradley Murray and finance Melissa Russel of Centralia, Illinois, Dustin Donaldson of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Justin Murray and Dixie Cowsert of Centralia, Illinois, Ashton Murray of Centralia, Illinois, Tanner Murray and girlfriend Makayla Crawford of Walnut Hill, Illinois, Kaylee Murray of Centralia, Illinois, Brittany Wathan of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Cora Hill of Trenton, Illinois and Gavin Hill of Trenton, Illinois; nieces, Katelynn Mayoral, Audrie Downs and Miley Funk; nephews, Cooper Downs and Konner Mayoral and great aunts, great uncles and second cousins.
Kameron was preceded in death by his great grandfathers, Varyln Murray and Robert Jackson; great grandmothers, Florence Murray, Bessie Jackson and Jean Mayoral; grandfathers, David Murray and Joe “Poppy” Mayoral, Jr.; grandmother, Barbara Henke and cousin, Mason Wathan.
Kameron was of the Christian faith. He was an avid fan of the Saint Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed fishing off the shores of a nearby lake. He had a big zest for life and a big bright smile to go along with it. He had a great sense of humor that was welcomed by his family and friends. Kameron loved animals, dogs and his pets. He cherished the time he spent with his family, especially proud uncle to his nieces and nephews. No one had a bigger heart than Kameron.
Kameron previously was employed as directional bore machinist for Custom Underground in Edwards, Illinois, for 3 years. He was a hard worker who put all his energy into what he was doing. Kameron was proud to be a linebacker and a member of the special teams on the Centralia High School’s Orphans Football Team. He lived most of his life in Centralia, Illinois.
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Kameron Joseph Mayoral will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, January 11, 2021, at The Rock Church in Centralia, Illinois with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. The family asked to honor Kameron by wearing RED. The family ask those who are attending to please be mindful of social distancing, wear a mask, and take any health precautions necessary to ensure a healthy environment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Mayoral’s honor to in Community Resource Center in Centralia, Illinois and will be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois.
