Kenneth Hirsch Obituary

Kenneth Wayne Hirsch, age 75, of Wiesbaden, Germany, passed away at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in Wiesbaden, Germany.  He was born on October 12, 1942 in Centralia, Illinois, the son of the late John James and Ruby Lucille (Beal) Hirsch.  He married Rosetta Jones and she preceded him in death.

Mr. Hirsch is survived by his sister, Doris Sanders of Centralia, Illinois; brother, Norman Hirsch of Centralia, Illinois; step-daughter, Maureen Salveta of Warren, Michigan, nineteen nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hirsch was preceded in death by his wife; very special friend, Rosemarie Link; brother, Richard Hirsch and sisters, Verla Monical and Phyllis Knox.

Mr. Hirsch was of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed photography.

Mr. Hirsch retired from the U.S. Army after many years of service to his country.  He served during the Vietnam War, where he received the Purple Heart.  He lived the last 30 years of his life in Wiesbaden, Germany and formerly lived in Centralia, Illinois.

It was Mr. Hirsch’s wish to be cremated.  There will be no public visitation nor services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Hirsch's honor to the Disabled American Veterans and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Mr. Hirsch’s family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
