Patricia "Pattie" Badger Obituary

Patricia Ann “Pattie” Badger, age 59, of Saint Charles, Missouri, formerly of Centralia, Illinois, was called to Heaven at 10:40 P.M. on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Lewis and Clark Gardens in Saint Charles, Missouri. She was born on February 26, 1962, in Brookfield, Missouri, the daughter of Kent DeLong and Ardella Pearl (White) Waller.

Pattie was survived by the star of her life, her daughter, Kristen Danielle Badger of Saint Peters, Missouri.  She had one beautiful granddaughter, Lucy Grace Raftery of Saint Peters, Missouri.  She was blessed with her fun-loving family, brother Haldon Waller and wife Jody Storey Waller of Wildwood, Missouri; and sister, Jacquelin Waller Sternquist and husband Arvid of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and nieces, Michelle Irene Sternquist of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Hope Waller of Wildwood, Missouri.

Pattie was preceded in death by her loving parents, Kent Waller and Ardella White Waller.

Pattie was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Centralia, Illinois. She had a soft spot in her heart for her animals.  She loved to craft making jewelry out of beads and to get in the spirit of the holidays, making Halloween costumes.  She enjoyed cooking and making her family’s favorite meals for them.  She was an avid fan of the Saint Louis Cardinals and wouldn’t miss watching a game.  Pattie had a contagious laugh that will be missed.  She is remembered as being fun loving and full of life.  She cherished the time she spent with her family.  In the last couple of years, she enjoyed every moment with her granddaughter, Lucy.  Pattie was a fighter up to the very end.

Pattie was employed in the photography department with Walmart in Salem, Illinois, from 2002 until 2005.  As a result of her failing health, she retired in 2002 as dietary manager after serving several nursing facilities throughout southern Illinois for many years.  She graduated with Sioux City East High School’s “Class of 1980” in Sioux City, Iowa.  She moved to Saint Charles, Missouri, after the passing of her mother 3 years ago, and previously lived in Centralia, Illinois, with her mother, for 28 years.
