Ricky Leon Roeder, age 60, of Kinmundy, Illinois, passed away at 3:32 A.M. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was born on July 8, 1963, in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was the son of Lester W. and Dorris Ann (Harriman) Black.
Ricky is survived by his loving family, brother, Mike Geralds and wife Brenda of Cravat, Illinois, sisters, Melba Knox and husband Jr. of Woodlawn, Illinois, Debbie Bean and husband Lloyd of Florida, Marcia Irvin and husband Robert of Bonnie, Illinois and Melinda Warren of Mount Vernon, Illinois; special friend, Kimberly Keller of Kinmundy, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Black and Dorris Black; and brother, Floyd “Toby” Scott.
Ricky enjoyed being in the outdoors, mushroom hunting and fishing. He liked buying and selling collectibles. Ricky was a laborer with F&L Salvage & Recycling in Centralia, Illinois, until his health didn’t allow him to work any longer. He lived in Kinmundy, Illinois, formerly living in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
It was the wishes of Mr. Ricky Leon Roeder to leave this world quietly with no public visitation or services. Arrangements are in the care of Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois.
