Craig was a great tennis coach. He promoted excellence, fair play and sportsmanship. I always looked forward to his great barbeque at the Halloween festivities. I had to get there early before he sold out due to the popularity of his cooking. He will be missed by all. May God give you peace in this time of loss. Tennis Coach, Mt. Vernon

Nancy,
I came to Craig's visitation in hopes that I could see you and the kids. Give you a hug and to let you know how the Jones' Family understands your loss. There was such a long line of people that I could not possibly make it through and then back to school to supervise an event. The long line was indeed a tribute to Craig's legacy and the love so many have for you, Craig, and your children. My Cousin, Bob Markwardt texted me from Maryland to tell me he was Craig's buddy in their fraternity at Eastern and he had received notice of his passing. He wanted me to give you his condolences as well. As you know, Craig touched many lives in a positive way and his legacy of kindness and friendship was shared with you many times last night and will always be in the future. May God be with you and your family always. Love you. Kent

Nancy and Family,
We were all very shocked to hear about Craig. He was a great guy, wonderful husband and father, and a true statesman for Centralia. Words cannot express our feelings and sadness at this time. May his memory be a blessing to all of you. Find comfort in knowing that we are all better people because we knew Craig. There is a special place in Heaven with God for him. Peace be with your family at this time.

We all scored knowing Craig Freels!! I was very fortunate to start Jordan School with "Mr. Freels" as our 1st grade PE teacher. He loved playing with us, and vice a versa. I think there was a lot of teasing, in both directions. He liked showing off his head stands! We liked scrambling after the change that fell out of his pockets. We had so much fun! What a great person to have around at the start of school, when we were so so young!! I can kind of remember what we all looked like. PE was a most excellent part of 1st grade!!

So happy for what he gave us all!! Thanks, Coach, gymnast extraordinaire!!

Coach Freels was an amazing man. I will always remember him. My greatest memory was in drivers ed and he made me parallel park. I was the only student in our group of 3 that he made do it. I was so scared and he did nothing but laugh at my fear and then praise me when I completed it.

So long as I recall in my youth there was Craig. Always a friend to many, always kind, sincere , responsible. Mention his name and you think of honesty, integrity and fairness. Am thankful to have a few minutes together recently at Roundhouse....an honor for me. May the Lord comfort the hearts of family and all in this hurting time. We dwell only a little whil in earthly tents. Aa Paul said " to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". Craig finished the race well.
