My condolences go out to Don's wife and family. Although I did not keep in touch with him over the years, my memories of our childhood in that south town neighborhood are always on my mind. It was a honor for me to be raised in a neighborhood with all those families. Donnie Ray and I spent alot of hours on that old Field School playground and we never gave up on a good tough competition no matter where it came from.

Don was a dedicated police officer and an even better friend. He was always joking around with all of us, yet as serious as need be when the time came. He had rough exterior to most, but a huge heart and cared deeply for his family. I can still hear his stories about his nephews and how he loved to talk about them. He will missed by all who knew him. Prayers to Sandra and the rest of the family. You did a great job buddy. See you again some day.
