Dorothy Evelyn (Brush) Michael

Dorothy Evelyn Michael, age 89, of Centralia, Illinois, entered into eternal peace at 8:24 A.M. on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, Illinois. She was born on June 10, 1926 in Dowell, Illinois, the daughter of Charles F. and Hazel D. (Beaver) Brush, Sr.. She married Norman C. Michael on February 3, 1946 in Centralia, Illinois and he preceded her in death on September 19, 2000.

 Mrs. Michael is survived by her daughter, Linda Davis of Centralia, Illinois, grandchildren, Michelle Moreno and husband Gilberto of Sarasota, Florida, Ben Davis and wife Chelsey of Centralia, Illinois and Brett Davis and wife LaRel of Centralia, Illinois, great-grandchildren, Stefano, Alondra, Blake, Brianna, Braxton and Audra and many nieces and nephews including special nephew Kenny Leister and special niece Tina Lasley.

In addition to her husband of 54 years, Mrs. Michael was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, William H. Brush and Charles F. Brush, Jr. and sister, Margaret H. Leister.

Mrs. Michael was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia, Illinois, where she was a member of the Tuesday Morning Bible Class and the Ladies Friendship Guild. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards with her card group. She loved all animals especially cats, dogs and birds. She cherished the time she spent with family. Mrs. Michael was a secretary and real estate agent for her husband's company, Michael Brothers Contractors. Earlier in life, she was a secretary and real estate agent for various real estate agencies and insurance companies in Centralia, Illinois. She was a lifelong resident of Centralia, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia, Illinois with Pastor Mark Girardin and Pastor Perry Schefelker offficiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park near Centralia, Illinois. Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia, Illinois and on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:00 A.M. at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made in Mrs. Michael's memory to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia, Illinois or the Centralia Humane Society in Centralia, Illinois and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.
