Margaret (Meagher) Miller

Margaret Miller, age 82, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 4:50 A.M. on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, Illinois. She was born on December 31, 1932 in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas F. and Cora (Seals) Meagher. She married Robert Dean “Bob” Miller on March 25, 1960 in Centralia, Illinois and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2015.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her son, Tim Miller and wife Melissa of Centralia, Illinois, granddaughter, Maddisson Haslett of Centralia, Illinois, sister, Anna Mae Hoskinson of Anaheim, California, brother-in-law, Pete Bagley of Marietta, Georgia, very special and dear friends, Debbie Young, Michael Young and Joel Young of Centralia, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband of 55 years, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Thomas Meagher, Willie Meagher, who died in World War II, Fred Meagher and Leo Meagher and 3 sisters, Mary Crockett, Theresa Meagher and LaVerne Bagley.

Mrs. Miller was a member of the Calumet Street Christian Church in Centralia, Illinois and previously was a long time member of the New Harmony Baptist Church.  She loved visiting and spending time with her family, extended church family and friends.

Mrs. Miller retired from Regions Bank in Centralia, Illinois, formerly Magna Bank and First National Bank.  Earlier in life, she was employed at Miss Elaine Dress Company in Centralia, Illinois for 25 years. She was a former office manager at the Styninger-Pacey Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  She has lived her whole life in Centralia, Illinois.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Hillcrest Memorial Park near Centralia, Illinois with Mr. John Willis officiating. Friends may meet with Mrs. Miller's family from 10:30 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at the cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Miller’s memory to the Charity of Donor's Choice and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Mrs. Miller's family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on Facebook.
